Regulatory Compliance Specialist
As a member of Fox Rothschild’s Talent Management Department, the Legal Recruitment Coordinator plays a key role in the firm’s attorney recruiting efforts. This position is responsible for coordinating all phases of lateral attorney recruitment and student hiring, including the Summer Associate Program. The coordinator works closely with attorneys, law schools, and candidates to ensure a seamless and positive experience while maintaining strong relationships and elevating the firm’s presence across campuses.
EssentialFunctions Lateral Attorney Hiring Process
- Coordinate all aspects of lateral attorney hiring across multiple offices, including drafting job postings, tracking open positions, sourcing candidates, pre‑screening resumes, conducting phone interviews, coordinating the interview process, ensuring completion of all pre‑hire due diligence, facilitating background checks, and assisting with the offer process.
- Coordinate all aspects of the Summer Associate Program, including planning, facilitating, and attending social events and training programs; coordinating the orientation process; communicating with supervising attorneys, mentors, and office administrators; tracking work assignments and collecting evaluations; and drafting offer letters and tracking correspondence.
- Coordinate all phases of law student hiring, such as pre‑screening student resumes for interview selection, planning and supporting early engagement initiatives and activities (receptions, webinars), conducting correspondence and follow‑up with candidates, attending law school events, and assisting with outreach and relationships with career services offices.
- Communicate with outside vendors and maintain relationships with peers at competitive firms, including membership in NAFL.
- Assist with central databases to track new hire information (vi Desktop, Flo Recruit, etc.).
- Monitor recruitment budget and manage special projects as requested.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
- Two to five years of recruitment experience in a law firm or professional services environment; event/marketing experience is a plus.
- Experience with Linked In Recruiter, applicant tracking systems (vi Desktop, Flo Recruit) is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word) is required.
- Outstanding organizational and presentation skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously under strict time constraints.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment and interact professionally with attorneys and business professionals at all levels.
- Ability to work overtime and adjust hours as needed.
- Up to 20% travel (domestic, overnight) is required. Valid driver’s license required.
This job operates in a clerical, office setting and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
Physical RequirementsSedentary work; may need to lift, carry, push, pull up to 10 pounds; walking and standing often necessary.
Visual AcuityClose visual acuity required for tasks such as analyzing data, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading.
Compensation & BenefitsThe salary ranges for this position are (for the respective locations):
- Morristown & Princeton: $77,000 to $90,000
- Washington, D.C.: $79,000 to $93,000
- New York City: $80,000 to $95,500
