Cloud Engineer

Resource will provide support for Customer Cloud Platform and projects.

Brief Job Description:

The position will be responsible for performance analysis and capacity planning to ensure the Customer Cloud can support new projects. He or she will identify and/or react to problems related to the technology infrastructure supporting the Customer Cloud environments. This candidate must have the ability to demonstrate a broad knowledge level across multiple areas of information technology. The candidate will also be involved as a key team member on strategic or enterprise-wide technology solutions.

The candidate is expected to collaborate with peers and resources in other departments to complete projects and related items.

Required Skills:

VMware vSphere 3, 4, 5; VMware vCenter 3, 4, 5;
Cisco UCS;
Net App and Hitachi Storage;
Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2012;
Red Hat 5, 6;
CentOS 5, 6.

Additional Skills:

.NET coding;
Cisco networking;
Firewall concepts;
Load balancer concepts;
Amazon AWS Web Services.

Additional Requirements:

• Hands-on experience with hypervisor and compute virtualization technologies (VMware, vSphere, vCenter, vCloud, VMware View, Microsoft Hyper-V, Red Hat KVM, Citrix Xen Server, Xen Desktop, Xen App).
• Experience in architecture, design, and implementation of highly scalable, highly available cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
• Experience with network and storage virtualization.
• Experience with elastic scaling and automated application deployment on cloud solutions.
• Experience integrating virtualization solutions with other platform technologies (storage, server, network, Active Directory, databases, OS).
• Strong knowledge of server platforms: HP, Cisco UCS, Dell, IBM.
• Understanding of security standards and concepts.
• Strong knowledge of storage platforms: SAN, NAS, SSDs;
  Net App, EMC, Hitachi, Fujitsu, Brocade, Fusion
  
  IO.
• Knowledge of data center infrastructure:
  Cisco Nexus, high-end LAN switches, load balancers, firewalls, power, and cooling.
