Join the Penn Medicine, University of Pennsylvania Health System as a Nurse Manager in Behavioral Health Nursing Administration. You will supervise and manage the nursing staff of a 28‑bed inpatient psychiatric unit in the Princeton House Behavioral Health facility.

  • Penn Medicine Princeton Health (PMPH) is seeking a full‑time day shift nurse manager to work the 28‑bed Wing 6 (Voluntary Psych/Dual diagnosis for psych).
  • Princeton House has been helping people throughout Central New Jersey for more than 50 years. Our staff includes board‑certified psychiatrists, physicians, specialized nurses, master’s level social workers, therapists, and addiction counselors.
  • Location:

    Princeton House Behavioral Health, 905 Herrontown Road, Princeton, NJ.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Reports to the AVP Behavioral Health Nursing and collaborates closely with PHBH nurse leaders.
  • Manages nursing staff (RNs and ancillary personnel) on a 28‑bed inpatient psychiatric unit with fiscal accountability.
  • Assures 24‑hour quality care for patients, ensures compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations, and maintains a therapeutic treatment environment.
  • Provides supervisory coverage during the day, one week each month, for the facility.
  • Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and completing introductory and annual staff performance appraisals.

Scheduling Requirements:

  • 5 days a week, day shift (7 am–3 pm).
  • Alternate weekend requirement.

What We Require for this Role:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Master’s degree or pursuing a Master’s degree in a healthcare related field preferred.

Related Work Experience

  • Psychiatric experience required.
  • Management experience required.

Licensure, Certification or Registration Requirement

  • Psychiatric/Addiction certification preferred.
  • Active RN NJ license required.

Salary Range:

$ – $ Annually (based on 40 hours per week).
