Position Overview
Position: Genome Scientist
Description: The Lewis-Sigler Institute for Integrative Genomics seeks applicants for a Genome Scientist, hired at the rank of Professional Specialist, to contribute high-level technical expertise and project leadership to the laboratory of Britt Adamson. We are seeking candidates with extensive experience in genome editing and sequencing analysis of editing outcomes. Additional background in mathematics, computer science, genomics, or cell biology is a plus.
The appointment is for one year, with the possibility for renewal pending satisfactory performance and continued funding.
The applicant will work with the lab to design and execute research projects. Additionally, the applicant will train and mentor other lab personnel and collaborators in all aspects of CRISPR screens, NGS sample preparation, data acquisition, and data analysis.
Qualifications- A PhD in a relevant discipline or related field.
- Proven ability to successfully complete major independent research projects.
- Extensive expertise with all aspects of sequencing data analysis.
- Capacity to work and perform both independently and collaboratively.

SalaryExpected Salary Range: $80,000 - $140,000
