Assistant Restaurant Manager – Dimension Hospitality

Salary: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year

Job Purpose
:
Assist in managing one or more full‑service food and beverage outlet(s) on a daily basis, maintaining established cost and quality standards to ensure superior service and maximize profits. Serve as Restaurant Manager in their absence.
Job Responsibilities
:
- Supervise day‑to‑day shift activities of one or more food and beverage outlet(s). Schedule employees for proper shift coverage and enforce policies and procedures.
- Assist in preparing the annual budget.
- Ensure staff is properly trained, certified (if applicable), and equipped to carry out their duties.
- Monitor restaurant performance through customer satisfaction analytics and financial reports, initiating corrective action as needed.
- Maintain product and service quality standards through ongoing evaluations and complaint investigation.
- Assist with implementation and maintenance of sales and marketing programs.
- Manage human resources functions: employee motivation, training, development, wage/benefit administration, and compliance with labor regulations.
- Maintain preventative maintenance programs for restaurant physical assets.
- Ensure security of the restaurant’s assets and personal safety of employees and customers.
- Implement effective two‑way communication systems for all employees.
- Develop new programs to increase customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
- Ensure restaurant equipment (coffee, soda machines, registers, etc.) is in proper operating condition and cleaned regularly; maintain facilities cleanliness and inventory, and notify Engineering for repairs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Skills
:
- Interpret business records, statistical reports, and production data to make business decisions.
- Use mathematical skills to interpret financial information and prepare budgets.
- Analyze policies established by administrators.
- Adapt to changing activity and manage interruptions.
Physical Requirements
:
- Ability to speak and hear.
- Close and distance vision.
- Frequent sitting with some walking and standing.
- Frequently lifts/carries up to 10 lbs.
- Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills, with frequent use of bi‑manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
Additional Physical & Visual Requirements
:
- Stand for long periods of time.
- Walk extended distances.
- Lift/carry 6–25 lbs.
- Ability to work overtime and irregular hours.
Working Conditions
:
- Wet humid conditions.
Qualifications
:
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in management, business, or related field. - Experience:
2 years dining room supervisor, 1 year cashier, 2 years waiter, 1 year direct sales or retail trade; or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Licenses/Certifications:
Must have TIPS certification and meet state law age requirements for tending bar.
