Industrial Maintenance Technician - Princeton, NJ

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to ensure our manufacturing facility runs smoothly. This role requires expertise across electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and carpentry, with a strong focus on preventive maintenance, safety, and operational efficiency.

• Adheres to all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency requirements, and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.
• Inspects building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure proper operation and environmental conditions as prescribed.
• Leads and oversees work performed by outside contractors, including remodeling, HVAC, plumbing, painting, and cleaning.
• Performs and supervises repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance; completes and reviews maintenance and repair records as required.
• Reviews and assigns work orders; estimates time and materials, and orders necessary materials and supplies to complete tasks.
• Maintains the building lighting system, including component repairs or replacements.

• High school diploma or GED and a minimum of four years of related experience and/or trade school training; leadership experience preferred.
• Certification in one or more of the following areas: electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair.
• Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions and short correspondence; ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle a variety of concrete variables with limited standardization; intermediate analytical skills.
• Basic skills with Microsoft Office; physical ability to stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs/ladders, and lift/carry heavy loads (50 lbs or more).

The salary range shown reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, education, or training, and primary work location. Salary: $32.00-$36.50.
