Overview
West Virginia University Health System (SMG) seeks a Pediatric Hospitalist, Medical Director for our Pediatric Hospitalist program at Princeton Community Hospital.
ResponsibilitiesAs Medical Director, you will oversee the Princeton Pediatric Hospitalist Program, ensuring the highest quality treatment, overseeing delivery of clinical care, making recommendations for staffing, maintaining consultation service, streamlining clinical processes, developing clinical protocols, and maintaining high levels of patient satisfaction and safety. You will also oversee quality metrics, work closely with physicians, administration, nursing and technical staff to maintain excellent clinical care operations, and organize new program development.
Hospitalists provide 24‑hour call coverage, round on admitted patients including nursery, support the ED by providing consultative services and admitting unassigned patients, and provide coverage for community pediatricians with appropriate notice and sign‑out.
Qualifications- M.D. or D.O. degree or foreign equivalent.
- Completed residency in Pediatrics or Family Medicine.
- West Virginia medical license (eligible).
- Board eligibility in Family Medicine or Pediatrics.
- All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
