MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

Valid driver's license.

EXPERIENCE:

One (1) year experience in the construction trades and/or vocational training (HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, or welding).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

High School diploma or equivalent.

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for providing laborer services for renovations and improvement projects performed by the facilities department.

Performs various construction activities as assigned by supervisor in accordance with policies and procedures and based on skill level and organizational needs.

Duties involve receiving, movement, relocation, storage and disposal of construction materials and equipment.

Other duties will involve relocation of furniture, records, equipment, and personnel as needed.

Fabricating, maintaining, updating, and installing new interior & exterior facility signage.

Additional duties will include sweeping, mopping, dusting, shoveling, and cleaning construction site.

Perform other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to lift at least 100 pounds.

Ability to climb and work off of ladders, scaffolding or electric lifts and operate basic manual cleaning equipment.

Ability to drive single axle box truck.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

90% of work is inside.

10% is outside in all weather conditions.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Demonstrates willingness to learn construction practices, techniques, and methodologies.

Able to interact in a responsible, friendly and courteous manner with all levels of staff in the organization.
