Position Available:
Shop Apprentice
- Assist with sandblasting and painting of parts and equipment.
- Perform general shop cleanup and organization to maintain a safe working environment.
- Use light tools for minor repairs, assembly, and maintenance tasks.
- Help with loading and unloading equipment, tools, and materials as needed.
- Support mechanics and technicians by fetching tools, parts, and supplies.
- Maintain inventory of shop materials and ensure proper storage.
- Assist in general shop organization and inventory management.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate protective gear.
R-2 Contractors is looking for a hardworking and motivated Shop Hand to assist in our shop operations. This entry-level position is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in equipment maintenance, shop upkeep, and various support tasks to keep operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities:- Assist with sandblasting and painting of parts and equipment.
- Perform general shop cleanup and organization to maintain a safe working environment.
- Use light tools for minor repairs, assembly, and maintenance tasks.
- Help with loading and unloading equipment, tools, and materials as needed.
- Support mechanics and technicians by fetching tools, parts, and supplies.
- Maintain inventory of shop materials and ensure proper storage.
- Assist in general shop organization and inventory management.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate protective gear.
- This role requires frequent bending, twisting, lifting heavy objects, and working in various physical positions.
- Willingness to learn and work in a hands-on environment.
- Basic familiarity with hand tools and power tools is a plus.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to take on various tasks.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
