Position Summary
We’rehiringa
Mainline Equipment Operatortosupportourundergroundutilitycrewsoncivilconstructionprojectsthroughout Central Oregon .Operatorsreportdirectlytoassignedjobsitesandprimarilyoperateexcavatorstoperformtrenchingandutilityinstallationforwater,sewer,stormdrainanddryutilities.
Thisroleisidealforanexperiencedoperatorwhocansafelyandefficientlyworkwithpipecrewswhilemaintaininggrade,trenchsafety,andproductiononactiveconstructionsites.
- Operateexcavatorsandotherheavyequipmenttoperformtrenchingforundergroundutilities
- Workcloselywithpipelayersandgroundcrewstoinstallwater,sewer,andstormdrainsystems
- Maintaintrenchgradeandalignmentusinggradestakes,pipe lasers,anddirectionfromsupervisors
- Excavatesafelyaroundexistingundergroundutilitiesandmaintaintrenchsafetypractices
- Performbeddingpreparationandpipeplacementsupport
- Installtrenchboxesandassistwithpropertrenchprotectionmethods
- Readandinterpretgradestakes,plans,andutilitylayouts
- Performdailyequipmentinspectionsandbasicmaintenanceandfueling
- Maintainawarenessofgroundpersonnel,underground utilities,andchangingjobsiteconditions
- Followallcompanysafetyproceduresandworksafelyaroundactiveconstructionoperations
- Provenexperienceoperatingexcavatorsonundergroundutilityinstallationprojects
- Strongunderstandingoftrenching,pipeinstallationsupport,andtrenchsafetypractices
- Abilitytoreadgradestakesandmaintainpropertrenchelevations
- Experienceworkingcloselywithpipecrewsinactivetrenchenvironments
- Abilitytoworkoutdoorsinvaryingweatherconditions
- Strongattentiontosafetyandsituationalawareness
- Abilitytopassapre-employmentdrugscreening
- 5+yearsofundergroundutilityexcavationexperience
- Experienceinstallingwater,sewer,andstormdrainsystems
- Familiaritywithpipelasersandgradecontrolsystems
- ExperienceoperatingGPS-equipped excavators
- Experienceworkingaroundexistingutilitiesandtighturbanworkzones
- Reportdirectlytoassignedjobsitesacross Central Oregon
- Ahands-onroleworkingcloselywithpipecrewsinstallingcriticalundergroundinfrastructure
- Workwithexperiencedcrewsonavarietyofcivilutilityprojects
