Job Overview: Perform building and laundry equipment installation, maintenance, and repair to ensure safety and efficient operations. Assist in the operation and maintenance of boilers not exceeding 120 horsepower high-pressure steam.
Starting pay ranges from $32 to $35 an hour.
Responsibilities:
- Complete preventative maintenance and repairs on boilers and related equipment as per manuals.
- Perform maintenance, repairs, and installation of laundry and support equipment.
- Conduct bi-hourly compliance checks to verify safe operating pressure.
- Maintain boiler water treatment, chemistry, and chemicals.
- Install hardware components, fixtures, and rail systems.
- Complete work orders for repairs, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical device replacements.
- Participate in annual inspections, preventive maintenance, and cleaning during boiler shutdowns.
Job Requirements:
- Combination of education and/or field experience totaling at least 2 years in building maintenance.
- Basic knowledge of electricity and plumbing principles.
- Ability to read schematic prints related to equipment.
- Valid 2nd Class Grade B Boiler's License is required.
