Role Scope
:

  • Under established guidelines and in collaboration and/or supervision with the practice physician(s), NPs and PAs perform routine physical examinations, and formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial plans to treat patients.
  • In consultation with the physician(s) and care team members, NPs and PAs develop plans for further evaluation of health needs, e.g., referral to other health team members or specialists.
  • NPs or PAs provide appropriate treatment for problems within the scope of the provider’s practice as designated by protocols and identify problems outside of their scope of practice and refer appropriately to physician.

Qualifications
:

  • Licensure: Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or eligible)
  • Training: APRN (Family, Adult/Geri Nurse Practitioner) or PA
  • Experience: 2+ years’ experience in a primary care or relevant outpatient setting (New grads with a strong background are encouraged to apply!)
