Dental Assistant – Heartland Dental

We’re a brand new, state‑of‑the‑art dental office in Prosper, TX, looking for a skilled Dental Assistant to join our patient‑focused team. Bring a passion for patient care, knowledge of Dentrix, and the ability to work on a variety of procedures.

• Greet and welcome patients, sustain comfort, and provide education throughout treatment.
• Conduct thorough review of the patient’s health history.
• Take and process X‑rays and other diagnostics (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance (four‑handed dentistry) to support dentists during procedures in accordance with state regulations.
• Use Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment room with strict safety protocols and follow OSHA & CDC recommendations.
• Manage supply and inventory levels and place orders as needed.
• Partner with providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize workflow.

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast‑paced, customer‑centric environment.
• If required, dental assistant certification and/or X‑ray certification.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Regular HIPAA training and protection of PHI.

• 1+ year in a dental setting.
• Experience with Dentrix or similar software.
• Dental assisting school certification.

• Ability to perform duties with or without accommodation.
• Prolonged periods sitting and standing.
• Can lift up to 45 pounds at times.
• Available for periodic virtual or in‑person training.
• Must pass a TB test before starting employment, except in FL & TN.
