Job Summary
The Proctor plays a vital role in ensuring a fair and secure testing environment for testers during examinations. This position involves monitoring test-takers, providing assistance as needed, and upholding the integrity of the testing process. Preferably, the ideal candidate should have experience working with students in a classroom setting and possess strong organizational skills to manage the logistics of standardized testing effectively.
If no experience, the candidate must be willing to be trained and get certified as a proctor.
- Monitor testers during examinations to ensure compliance with testing regulations.
- Distribute and collect test materials, ensuring all items are accounted for before and after testing.
- Provide clear instructions to students regarding the testing process and rules.
- Address any questions or concerns from students in a professional manner.
- Maintain a quiet and focused environment conducive to testing.
- Report any irregularities or incidents that occur during the examination to the appropriate authorities.
- Assist in setting up the testing room, including arranging seating and ensuring all necessary materials are available.
- Experience working with testers in a testing center. If no experience, candidate must be willing to be trained and get certified as a proctor.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently during testing periods.
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and requirements is highly desirable.
- Background in adult education or customer service is a plus, enhancing communication with diverse student populations.
- Ability to educate tester about the testing process while maintaining a calm demeanor under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills to convey instructions clearly and effectively to test-takers.
Part-time, Temporary, Contract
Pay$14 - $18 per hour
Expected Hours12 - 20 hours per week
Benefits- Flexible schedule
- 4pm - 7pm (Monday, Tuesday)
- 1pm - 7pm (Friday, Saturday)
Frisco, TX 75033 (required). Work in person.
