The Goddard School of Prosper is seeking a qualified, experienced, and dedicated Lead Pre-K 2 Teacher to join our team of early childhood professionals. This position requires a strong understanding of child development, a commitment to intentional teaching practices, and a passion for creating meaningful learning experiences for young children.
Position: Lead Teacher – Pre-K 2
Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: The Goddard School of Prosper / 1180 La Cima BLVD Prosper Tx 75078
Key Responsibilities :
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate, child-centered curriculum aligned with our school philosophy and early learning standards
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and structured classroom environment that supports the emotional, social, physical, and cognitive growth of 2-year-old children
- Establish clear classroom routines and expectations while maintaining flexibility to meet individual child needs
- Observe, document, and assess student development using a variety of tools and methods
- Communicate regularly and professionally with families regarding student progress and classroom updates
- Collaborate with assistant teachers and support staff to ensure consistency, safety, and continuity of care
- Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and compliance with licensing and accreditation standards
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field required
- Minimum 2 years of lead teaching experience in a licensed early childhood setting
- Strong understanding of child development, curriculum planning, and age-appropriate practices for two-year-olds
- Ability to lead a classroom independently with confidence and professionalism
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective teaching practice
