The Goddard School of Prosper is seeking a qualified, experienced, and dedicated Lead Pre-K 2 Teacher to join our team of early childhood professionals. This position requires a strong understanding of child development, a commitment to intentional teaching practices, and a passion for creating meaningful learning experiences for young children.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate, child-centered curriculum aligned with our school philosophy and early learning standards
  • Foster a safe, nurturing, and structured classroom environment that supports the emotional, social, physical, and cognitive growth of 2-year-old children
  • Establish clear classroom routines and expectations while maintaining flexibility to meet individual child needs
  • Observe, document, and assess student development using a variety of tools and methods
  • Communicate regularly and professionally with families regarding student progress and classroom updates
  • Collaborate with assistant teachers and support staff to ensure consistency, safety, and continuity of care
  • Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and compliance with licensing and accreditation standards

Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field required
  • Minimum 2 years of lead teaching experience in a licensed early childhood setting
  • Strong understanding of child development, curriculum planning, and age-appropriate practices for two-year-olds
  • Ability to lead a classroom independently with confidence and professionalism
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective teaching practice
