OverviewPrimary
Purpose:
Coordinate the training and support for campus staff that is supported by the PEIMS Department. Serve as the liaison between the Student Information Specialists and the Director of PEIMS. Facilitate training for Student Information Specialists and oversee all processes conducted for campus support.
Education/Certification:
High School diploma or GED
Special Knowledge/
Skills:
- Proficient in the use of school administration software (Skyward preferred)
- Advanced skills in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Strong knowledge of electronic file management systems within a networked environment
- Demonstrated experience in training staff in both small and large group settings
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse teams
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proven multitasking abilities with a strong capacity to perform under pressure
- Familiarity with PEIMS Data Standards and their application
- In-depth knowledge of the Student Attendance Accounting Handbook and related policies
- Working understanding of the Texas Records Exchange module
- Ability to develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures effectively
- Reliable, flexible, and punctual work habits with a strong sense of accountability
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in school district administrative or campus support position
Experience using a Student Information Software Program
Major Responsibilities and Duties Student SupportSupervise and evaluate assigned staff.
Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors- Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment, including computer and peripherals
- Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting
- Motion: Frequent repetitive hand motions; frequent keyboarding and use of mouse
- Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds)
- Environment: Work is performed in an office setting, May work prolonged or irregular hours
- Mental Demands: Maintain emotional control under stress; work with frequent interruptions
