Medical City Las Colinas in Prosper, TX is seeking a full-time MRI Technologist to join its imaging team. This is an opportunity to work within the HCA Healthcare network — one of the nation's leading providers of healthcare services — while performing advanced diagnostic imaging in a facility recognized for clinical excellence.
In this role, you will perform high-quality MRI scans across all patient age groups under the direction of a Radiologist. Your work directly supports accurate diagnoses and treatment planning. You will also maintain a safe, therapeutic diagnostic environment based on established practice standards and magnet safety guidelines, and participate in departmental improvement initiatives.
What You Bring to the TableTo thrive in this position, you will need the following qualifications:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) — must be obtained within 30 days of your employment start date
- Graduation from an AMA-approved school of radiology technology
- Current ARRT registration
- MRT licensure through the State of Texas
- MRI Certification through ARRT (required by December 31, 2012)
Medical City Dallas, part of the HCA Healthcare network, offers a total rewards package designed to support your health, career, and retirement. The available plans and programs include:
- Comprehensive coverage for medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, behavioral health, and telemedicine services
- Wellbeing support, including free counseling and referral services

- A 401(k) Plan with a 100% match on 3% to 9% of pay based on years of service, plus an Employee Stock Purchase Plan and flexible spending accounts
- Education support through tuition assistance, student loan assistance, certification support, and dependent scholarships
- Additional perks including fertility and family building benefits, adoption assistance, life insurance, supplemental health protection, auto and home insurance, legal counseling, and identity theft protection
Note:
Eligibility for certain benefits may vary by location.
Standing out as an MRI Technologist candidate means showcasing both your technical expertise and your commitment to patient-centered care. Here are a few targeted strategies:
- Highlight your magnet safety knowledge: MRI environments involve powerful magnetic fields. If you have experience enforcing safety zones, screening patients for metallic implants, or managing code situations in the MRI suite, make that prominent on your resume.
- Emphasize cross-sectional anatomy proficiency: Employers value technologists who can confidently adjust pulse sequences and parameters to produce diagnostic-quality images. Mention specific MRI systems you have operated, such as GE, Siemens, or Philips scanners.
- Showcase your ARRT(MR) credential prominently: Since MRI certification through ARRT is a hard requirement, place it near the top of your credentials section so recruiters see it immediately.
- Demonstrate patient communication skills: Highlight any experience explaining procedures, calming anxious patients, or working in high-acuity settings.
- Leverage professional networks: Platforms like the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) career center and ARRT's professional community often feature similar hospital-based roles. Engaging with these organizations shows ongoing professional development.
This is a chance to join a healthcare team recognized for advanced medical facilities and a genuine commitment to excellence. As Dr. Thomas Frist, Sr., HCA Healthcare Co-Founder, famously said, "Bricks and mortar do not make a hospital. People do."
