As an essential health care provider, the technologist is responsible for executing accurate scans and upholding the highest magnet safety protocols. The daily work environment focuses on clinical excellence, safety compliance, and collaborative patient care.
Core Responsibilities- Perform high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures across diverse age demographics under the clinical guidance of a radiologist.
- Enforce strict magnet room safety guidelines and screening measures for patients, visitors, and clinical staff.
- Maintain a sanitized, therapeutic, and efficient diagnostic imaging suite in compliance with institutional practice standards.
- Prepare patients for examinations by explaining scanning steps, positioning them comfortably, and addressing claustrophobia or procedure concerns.
- Contribute actively to departmental continuous improvement initiatives, quality control checks, and imaging protocol refinements.
- Graduate of an AMA-approved school of radiologic technology.
- Current certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Active Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) license issued by the State of Texas.
- ARRT MRI post-primary certification.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification (must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date).
