McKinney, TX. Job : #71451. Pay Range: $28-$31/hr this role supports the Operations Repair & Maintenance Team within Optics Manufacturing, ensuring production readiness and uptime across multiple factories (Optical Fabrication, Diamond Point Turning, Optical Coating, and Assembly/Test).

This is a highly hands-on, technical position in a fast-paced, high-demand defense manufacturing environment.

• Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electronic, mechanical, and automated manufacturing equipment.
• Lead or support installation and upgrades of production equipment.
• Develop and follow preventive maintenance procedures (including Lockout/Tagout).
• Use multimeters, current probes, schematics, and technical manuals to diagnose complex issues.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure factory equipment is safe, reliable, and efficient.
• Support layout planning, capital equipment procurement, and documentation updates.
• Participate in call-in and weekend work as required to support critical operations.
• Follow all OSHA and Raytheon safety protocols.

• Minimum 5-8 years of hands-on experience in equipment maintenance in a manufacturing/production setting.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with: automated equipment and control systems; high voltage systems (480V, 208V, 110V, and DC voltages); multimeters, current probes, and diagnostic instruments.
• Ability to work from schematics, technical drawings, manuals, and verbal instructions.
• Experience interfacing with multi-disciplinary teams and working with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work 2nd shift after training, with flexibility for weekends/call-ins.
• Comfortable working in a high-voltage, hands-on environment — this is not a desk or technician helper role.

• Associate s Degree in Electronics, Mechanical Technology, or related technical field.
