Perform direct patient care within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act, emphasizing pediatric acute and critically ill patients. Organize, implement, modify, evaluate, document, and maintain individualized, family‑centered, holistic plans of care. Participate in MCCH initiatives and process improvement. Maintain high‑quality age‑specific care for the neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, and young adult population. Support the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
- If hired after 6/1/12, Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 24 months of hire.
- 3–6 years RN experience in pediatrics.
- Ability to work in at least four of the following areas, two of which must be critical care: NICU, PICU, CHSU, Peds ED, 6D, 6N, Stem Cell Transplant (pediatric patients).
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
- Neonate Resuscitate certification within 60 months of employment start date.
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification within 60 months of employment start date.
- STABLE certification within 60 months of employment start date.
