ALL ABOUT SERVICE & ENGAGEMENT:
Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment and store cleanliness. Advocates of both in-store and digital services and solutions who are knowledgeable about capabilities and features that drive adoption and loyalty. Empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at the checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring exceptional quality.

As a Guest Advocate, you will build the skills and experience of:

• Communicating and interacting with guests to create a welcoming guest experience
• Blending problem solving and decision making to positively impact the guest experience and resolve guest concerns
• Adapting to different guest interactions and situations
• Promoting and engaging around various benefits, offerings and services

Typical responsibilities (a representative sample of duties you may perform):

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks
• Engage with guests to assist with their specific needs and resolve issues
• Inform guests about current promos, store activities and events
• Know and explain tools, products, and services available in the total store to solve issues and improve the guest experience
• Thank guests and acknowledge their choice to shop at Target
• Explain benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with sign-up as needed
• Scan and bag items efficiently and accurately, following food safety standards and company best practices
• Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
• Explain how to use Target App features (Wallet) and the store's services such as Order Pick-Up, Drive Up, and online ordering
• Handle returns in accordance with Target policies, escalating with leaders as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and stock supplies during store hours
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety and compliance; work safely and report hazards
• Support guest services (OPU, Drive-up orders, returns) and comply with applicable laws
• All other duties based on business needs

Additional basics

• Accurately handle checkout operations and support cash office duties as needed
• Move merchandise safely, lifting up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 44 pounds occasionally
• Flexible schedule, reliable attendance, and mobility for shift duration
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments (e.g., Drive-Up, carryout)
