PrimaryFunction
The Sr. Accounting Coordinator is under broad supervision, responsible for preparing and verifying vendor invoices for goods and services, ensuring that invoices are issued and paid on a timely basis. Occasionally may also process employee reimbursement requests and produce complex reports. The role typically works with large or more complex invoices and requires working knowledge of the discipline while gaining further expertise.
Responsibilities- Reviews and verifies vendor invoices to ensure accuracy.
- Creates and enters invoices into the financial system.
- Ensures prompt payment.
- Researches and resolves accounts‑payable issues with vendors.
- Prepares ad‑hoc information and statistical breakdowns as directed.
- Scans AP invoices.
- Processes payments, invoices, and vouchers.
- Verifies calculations, checks or allocates codes, and obtains information for incorrect or incomplete documents.
- Scans statements, ledgers, and accounts to identify unusual or overdue items.
- Prepares and/or verifies computer input where information is coded for processing.
- Investigates statements, ledgers, and records to establish facts required to deal with queries.
- Collaborates internally with Site Services Planner, Equipment Managers, Accounting Department, Supply Chain organization, and project teams.
- Understands and has knowledge of contract agreements.
- Works with vendors, subcontractors, dealers, maintenance shops, jobsite personnel, and other third parties for invoice reviews and addressing discrepancies.

Experience / Education
- Associate’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Role typically requires a minimum of 3 years of experience.
- Expertise in both accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Close attention to detail.
- Strong problem‑solving skills.
- CMiC experience a plus.
- Knowledge of construction accounting a plus.
- Basic understanding of sales and use tax.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook; experience with CMiC preferred.
Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. For Providence, RI this ranges from $50,000.00–$69,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
