Location:
Hybrid - Providence, RI (3 days onsite, 2 remote)
This role supports accounts payable, reconciliations, and journal entry preparation, working closely with the Senior Accountant and Finance Director. It is a good opportunity for someone looking to build experience in government and grant accounting and finance.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
- Understanding basic accounting principles, debits/credits, and reconciliations.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Experience supporting a new ERP or financial system implementation (strongly preferred).
- Federal grant accounting experience, including 2 CFR 200 and federal financial reporting.
- Familiarity with Workday, EUNA (eCivis) and/or Open Gov.
- Experience with Power BI for financial reporting and dashboards.
- CPA preferred, candidates actively pursuing certification (e.g., exam sections passed or in progress) are encouraged to apply.
