We are partnering with the State of Rhode Island to fill a vital role within its Office of Energy Resources.
The Program Coordinator will play a critical role in implementing energy efficiency programs and supporting federal home energy rebate initiatives. This opportunity is ideal for an organized, data‑driven professional who thrives in a public service environment and enjoys contributing to Rhode Island’s green energy future.
In this role, you will assist in tracking federal reporting requirements and maintaining accurate records while supporting the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative and other state energy programs.
Agency & Position Highlights- Agency Partnership: Join the Rhode Island Office of Energy Resources (OER) in Providence, RI.
- Compensation: $30 per hour.

Schedule:
Enjoy a balanced work week with four days in the office and one day remote. - Work‑Life Balance: Standard 35‑hour work week, Monday through Friday.
- Impactful Work: Directly support the processing and administration of valuable federal rebate programs for residents.
- Collaborative Environment: Report directly to the Administrator of Energy Efficiency Programs within a mission‑driven state agency.
- Review and process program applications and invoices to ensure timely execution.
- Transfer and organize data from online portals into program spreadsheets and databases.
- Prepare and sort source data for accurate computer entry.
- Verify data accuracy and organize program information for internal use and federal reporting.
- Maintain strict applicant confidentiality and protect sensitive operations data.
- Engage with the public to assist with basic rebate and application questions.
- Create marketing and outreach materials to promote energy efficiency programs.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Proven data entry experience or related office experience.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with applicants.
- Highly organized with superior attention to detail and thoroughness.
- Self‑directed mindset with the ability to work independently and remain flexible.
