Hematologist​/Oncologist

Join a specialized cancer center affiliated with a large hospital system in Providence, Rhode Island, offering hematology and oncology services. This locum tenens role involves providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care, supported by a dedicated clinical and administrative team. Clinicians will work Monday through Friday with a balanced patient volume and a structured call rotation.

• Clinical documentation is managed through a combination of paper charting and an EMR system, supported by a Dragon dictation system

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient hematology and oncology coverage on-site in Providence, Rhode Island
• Conduct inpatient rounding in the latter half of the day
• Handle 12 to 20 encounters per day, with typical consult appointments of 45 minutes and follow-up appointments of 15 minutes
• Provide call coverage on a 1:1 rotation
• Handle 0-1 new consults per day
