Meeting Street is currently looking for a Teacher Assistant for 40 hours per week. The hourly rate is $18.00 to $21.55 based on experience.

Duties
  • Teacher Assistant Float position providing support to the Early Learning Center and RI Pre‑K program.
  • Provides assistance to the teacher in the classroom in regard to daily activities, cleanliness, supervision, curriculum and assessment.
  • Provides coverage to the programs including breaks, meetings and curriculum planning times.
  • Partners with families to ensure high quality care and education for young children.
  • Maintains a clean, organized and child‑friendly learning environment in accordance with state regulations.
  • Always maintains supervision of children (indoor/outdoor) using accurate licensing ratios.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • 12+ College credits in Early Childhood Education from an accredited university required;
    Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
  • Valid CPR and first aid training/certification.
  • A minimum of 1 year working experience with young children, birth to age 5.
