Overview
Rhode Island College’s Film Studies Program is looking to grow its adjunct pool to staff future courses (Spring 2026 and beyond). We seek part-time instructors to teach Introduction to Film, our general education film studies course.
Responsibilities- Teach 1 section (4 FLH) of FILM 116:
Introduction to Film. - Occasional duties:
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Department Chair.
- Experience providing instruction on both the stylistic and the cultural dimensions of cinema.
- M.A. in either film studies or media studies. Applicants with an M.A. in cultural studies with a focus on film/media analysis will also be considered.
- College teaching experience, knowledge in overlapping, interdisciplinary topics as they relate to cinema studies courses.
Teaching/instruction is performed in a smart classroom setting.
