Exam Proctor
A proctor oversees students taking required examinations to ensure academic integrity. Responsibilities include monitoring exam protocols, confirming students use the appropriate computer and software, communicating test instructions clearly, restricting non‑permitted items (e.g., only water is allowed), managing bathroom breaks and accurate exit procedures, and maintaining NBME National testing standards and Examsoft protocol.
QualificationsEducation and Experience
- High school diploma or GED (required) and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Resourceful and technically astute for troubleshooting computer issues.
- Computer knowledge.
- Effective communicator.
- Professionalism – positive ambassador/representative to the Warren Alpert Medical School.
- Calm, relaxed demeanor with anxious students; psychologically and emotionally mature.
- Highly responsible for securing and maintaining NBME National testing standards and Examsoft protocol.
- Responsible for times and dates for proctoring.
- Resilient and flexible when students call in sick to reschedule.
