Saint Pius V School seeks a long-term substitute for our First Grade Teacher starting January 2027 (during maternity leave for our current teacher). If you are hardworking, team-oriented, open to feedback, and dedicated to the unique mission of Catholic Education then we invite you to consider Saint Pius V School.
Qualifications:- Dedicated to the Catholic mission of the school
- Strong instructional and classroom management skills
- High level of personal organization and planning
- Ability to develop rigorous lesson plans and assessments
- Deep content area knowledge
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
- Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development
- Ability to utilize data to differentiate instruction
- Education in Early childhood is preferred, as well as experience in reading diagnosis and interventions.
- Experience with Saxon Phonics as well as Heggerty phonics systems is helpful
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Valid Rhode Island Teaching Certification (preferred)
- Teaching experience or relevant experience (preferred)
