Job DescriptionUnder direct supervision, the Structural Engineer 3 performs structural analyses and designs for reinforced concrete, structural steel, reinforced masonry, and other metal structures of basic to moderate complexity. The role includes developing models, drawings, and specifications, reviewing draft designs for regulatory compliance, coordinating with other engineering disciplines, and applying firm policies on all designs.
Additional responsibilities include structural condition assessment, confined space entries, contributing to the firm’s technical knowledge base through white papers and publications, participating in conferences to enhance visibility, providing technical guidance to junior staff, and reviewing junior staff work.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Architectural, or Structural Engineering or related discipline.
- 3 years of related experience.
- Domestic and/or international travel may be required (travel frequency contingent on duties).
- Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
20% domestic and/or international travel.
Skills and Abilities- Expert knowledge of computer‑assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software.
- Solid knowledge of engineering principles of design.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft business software (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Intermediate knowledge of engineering analysis/design software (e.g., Revit, STAAD, RISA).
