General Responsibilities:Conduct environmental site investigations, assessments, and surveys to sample, measure, and analyze air, water, material, and soil. Identify, evaluate, and recommend risk and remediation strategies/designs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Prepare permit applications, risk assessments, technical documents including proposals, reports, and regulatory correspondence. Design systems and environmental protection plans. Projects may include Phase I/II environmental site assessments, ecological and natural resource surveys, tank closure assessments, asbestos abatement, stormwater management, and site planning and permitting.
EssentialRoles and Responsibilities:
- Follow safety rules, guidelines, and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report safety issues or concerns to management.
- Understand and practice quality standards.
- Support consistent quality in proposal and project delivery.
- Conduct analyses of project components, developing knowledge and abilities.
- Perform site visits, field observations, and data collection.
- Assist in data collection and analysis from sampling, reports, maps, drawings, tests, and aerial photographs.
- Conduct water, soil, and other sampling.
- Implement technical requirements by directing field staff to sample, test, and document activities.
- Outline investigative programs by selecting appropriate techniques for site studies.
- Draft proposals for small projects and assist with larger project proposals.
- May have limited client contact related to specific projects/tasks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field, or minimum of 1 year related experience, or 5 years of relevant experience.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
Certifications:
- Certification in relevant field preferred.
The salary range for this position is estimated between $55,900 and $78,200, adjusted based on location, qualifications, and experience.
