Responsibilities- Independently complete VDC coordination and reality capture with little supervision.
- Support the implementation of baseline and enterprise VDC standards.
- Apply BIM standards, specifications, and the BIM Execution Plan to projects.
- Ensure quality and execution of day‑to‑day VDC deliverables and communicate issues to management.
- Assist in drafting project coordination schedules and review them with the VDC manager.
- Coach and mentor less experienced team members across regions and business units.
- Communicate with internal and external project teams; facilitate meetings to resolve issues.
- Use 3D design software to identify, communicate, and resolve project challenges.
- Utilize reality capture (laser scanning, drones) to support project deliverables.
- Combine building discipline models into the coordination model.
- Review the coordination model for constructability using clash detection.
- Assign responsibility for issue resolution; document with minutes, submittals, RFIs, and updated models.
- Display subject‑matter expertise and gain exposure to various delivery methods.
- Participate in BU office activities and training sessions.
- Deliver 2‑4 project VDC deliverables with minimal supervision.
- Support a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Work closely with business development to align sales strategies and strengthen client relationships.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Building Information Modeling (BIM), or a related field.
- 3–4 years of VDC coordination experience (or equivalent).
- Strong problem‑solving, time‑management, and analytical skills.
- Proficient in BIM and design software; able to create 3D coordination models.
- Knowledge of complex design concepts and integrated building components.
- Leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to coach and mentor VDC engineers in a fast‑paced team environment.
- Proficiency with reality‑capture hardware and software.
- Ability to read construction schedules and tie activities to VDC deliverables.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
- Ability to demonstrate subject‑matter expertise.
Salary will be determined based on location, skills, education, and experience. For Massachusetts, the range is $111,000–$168,800, plus benefits and retirement.
