We are seeking an experienced Project Manager in Transportation with a background in the design and management of transportation projects. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in roadway design and demonstrated effectiveness in planning and managing projects, maintaining budgets and schedules, and building and maintaining positive client relations. Applicants must be motivated with a desire for personal growth and advancement and work well in a collaborative team atmosphere.
Responsibilities- Supervise and direct the preparation of design and construction bid documents for roadway projects involving multi‑modal accommodations (Complete Streets) including corridor, intersection, and downtown improvements.
- Effectively present at meetings with clients and the public.
- Maintain project financials, budgets, schedules, and project advancement.
- Manage and mentor staff, provide guidance, manage workloads, and resolve issues.
- Prepare project scopes and budgets for proposals and contracts.
- Maintain communication with clients including municipalities and regional agencies.
- B.S. Degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
- 8+ years in the Transportation Engineering (Roadway) field, including design and project management.
- Broad understanding of transportation design and planning standards, specifically state agencies (MassDOT, RI DOT, NH DOT) submission processes.
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration or the ability to obtain one (preferred).
- Strong interpersonal skills: ability to work well in a collaborative team environment, manage and mentor staff, and communicate effectively with clients, the public, sub‑consultants, and contractors.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
$120,000 - $150,000
