Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager
Our client is a well-established UK manufacturing business.
The RoleOur Client is appointing an Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead site EHS performance, strengthen compliance and support a robust safety culture across a busy industrial operation.
This is a hands‑on, site‑focused role reporting directly into senior operations leadership.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead and maintain site EHS management systems, including ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
Own the internal audit schedule, support external audits and drive corrective actions.
Manage risk assessments (including COSHH/ PUWER where relevant), controls and continuous improvement.
Lead accident/ near miss investigations and implement preventative measures.
Ensure strong contractor controls (RAMS, compliance checks, site rules).
Deliver practical site engagement, including inductions, toolbox talks and training support.
Coordinate with external specialists where required (for example for risk assessment support).
Infrequent travel to smaller sites (minimal, occasional).
Key RequirementsSkills & Experience
Strong EHS/ HSE/ SHE experience within manufacturing / engineering / industrial environments (heavy manufacturing, steel, fasteners, automotive components etc. welcomed).
Solid working knowledge of UK H&S and environmental legislation.
NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent).
Someone who can commute to work 4 days a week.
