Washington Trust Advisors is seeking a highly motivated Wealth Associate to join our team in Wellesley, Massachusetts. This role is a critical part of our relationship management team, providing administrative and analytical support for wealth administration and investment management to assist two Wealth Advisors in our Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) division.

This is a foundational position for someone who values accuracy, organization, and client service and may be a good fit if you have some experience in financial services or are an experienced wealth administrator. You’ll gain hands‑on experience in wealth administration while building relationships with clients and advisors. For those who are motivated and curious, this role offers potential to expand into financial planning, investment management, or advanced wealth administration.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as a key administrative resource for Wealth Advisors, ensuring smooth client service.
  • Handle account opening and closing processes, prepare annual account reviews, and maintain accurate client records.
  • Process fund movements, deposits, and asset receipts with precision.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, and meeting materials; manage scheduling and follow‑up.
  • Maintain data in our system of record and ensure key client milestones are recognized.
  • Support clients with tasks such as bill payment, cash disbursement, and routine inquiries.
  • Perform quality assurance checks and maintain compliance with established procedures.
  • Collaborate with Wealth Advisors on client documentation, beneficiary updates, and account maintenance.
  • File, research, and obtain information needed by Wealth Advisors.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in account administration within a wealth management environment (investments, securities, banking or financial planning preferred).
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to resolve issues effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with platforms like Black Diamond or Schwab is a plus.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Professional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Curiosity to research, review and follow through while working collaboratively in a strong team environment.

Preferred experience:

financial planning, investment analysis, trust administration, or working with business entity/institutional clients.

This position does not require licensing, but demonstrated knowledge through SIE Certification or Series 7 experience will be helpful.

Location & Flexibility

This position is based in Wellesley, MA with limited hybrid work options.

Compensation

Massachusetts requires Washington Trust Advisors to provide a good‑faith, reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role for individuals working in our Massachusetts office. The estimated base salary is $66,000–$83,000, and the actual offer will depend on factors such as experience, skills, training, certifications, and education. This base salary reflects one component of our competitive compensation package. This position may be eligible for an annual bonus and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
