The opportunity
Boston Bruinsishiring a full-time Assistant Athletic Trainer to join our team at Providence Arena in Providence, Rhode Island. As an Assistant Athletic Trainer, you will be responsible for providing athletic training services to the Providence Bruins hockey team during practices, games, and treatment sessions. In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range.

- Deliver licensed athletic training services, including injury prevention, evaluation, emergency care, treatment, and rehabilitation
- Provide bench coverage and emergency care during games, practices, and rehab sessions in compliance with team and league policies
- Collaborate with physical therapists and athletic trainers to develop and implement athlete rehabilitation plans
- Manage equipment and supplies for road trips and assist with pre-participation and exit medical exams
- Ensure compliance with AHL Medical Standards, utilize approved modalities, and maintain accurate health records in the league monitoring system
- NATABOCA athletic Training Certification, CPR Certification, and First Aid Certification is required
- Licensed or eligible to be licensed in the state of Rhode Island
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an athletic trainer in an equipment intensive sports team setting
- Strong knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy, biomechanics, and exercise physiology
- Proficiency in soft-tissue-based treatment and conducting on-field and ice assessments, injury evaluations, and emergency medical procedures
- Ability to frequently travel with flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate game schedules
