Banquet Server; On Call

Job Description

We are looking for an ambitious and fun individual to join our hardworking banquets team at the Le Meridien | Sheraton Charlotte Hotel
. Our goal is to enhance the customer experience by having an enthusiastic staff to ensure event guests are well taken care of!

• Prepare all dressings and cold sauces.
• Ensure quality guest service and comfort at all times by monitoring the area continuously.
• Have a comprehensive knowledge of all menu items, specials, beverages, wines, etc.
• Serve all items utilizing appropriate china, glassware, silverware, garnish, and condiments.
• Assist servers and set up house persons if needed.
• Maintain safe serve regulations when serving alcoholic beverages.
• Assist in setting tables with linen and basic silver and glass, maintaining a high standard of presentation.
• Assist in breaking down events and cleaning rooms after functions.
• Comply with health and safety regulation and act in line with company policies and licensing laws.
• Maintain equipment in good condition.
• Report on any shortages, damages or security issues.
• Handle reasonable guest complaints/requests and inform others when required.

Job Type: Part-time
On Call position; required to work at least 2 shifts per month, one including a PM event.

• Ability to work independently and remain motivated.

• Proven working experience in relevant field.
• Helpful with customer service.
• Professionalism along with speed and attention to detail.
