Service center general manager

Location: Providence, RI

Salary: $125,000 annually, depending on experience

• High School Diploma required; B.S. in an environmental‑related field preferred or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation logistics, including use of transportation management software
• Previous experience in environmental and hazardous waste industry
• Working knowledge of DOT regulations and standards
• Experience managing budgets, P&L statements, and asset/project management
• Ability to pass a DEA background check
• Minimum of 5 years of proven leadership experience
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
• Willingness to travel up to 10% and work hands‑on in operational settings
• Ability to wear required PPE (eye protection, foot protection, hard hat, Tyvek coveralls, respirator)

• 40‑hour HAZWOPER training (completed and current) or ability to obtain
• Experience in the hazardous waste industry with knowledge of RCRA and DOT regulations
• Familiarity with equipment types including box trucks, vans, roll‑offs, and tankers
• Proficiency in change management methodologies
• Knowledge of lean management, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
• Strong customer relationship management skills, including SLA and KPI oversight
• Experience in formal project management
