Machine Technician & Systems Engineer (Regular Full-Time Hourly)
Join Pearson VUE’s Owatonna, MN testing center as a dedicated Machine Technician & Systems Engineer to support the upkeep and functionality of our facilities. This hourly, full‑time role requires teamwork and the ability to work shift hours including evenings and weekends.
CompensationPay commences at a minimum of $20 per hour, with a pay range influenced by skill level, experience and location. This position is benefits eligible effective on your hire date.

40 hours per week with potential overtime and weekend shifts. Availability required Monday to Friday, 6 PM to 3 AM.
Qualifications- High school graduate or equivalent (preferred).
- Minimum one year of related production or maintenance experience (preferred but not required).
- Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to producing high quality results.
- Operate all department machines.
- Make operating adjustments to equipment as trained.
- Maintain logs and keep records as directed.
- Work cooperatively in a team environment to process materials or documents.
- Wear necessary protective clothing and equipment as required.
- Perform tasks involving the lifting and/or loading of materials.
- Maintain work area in neat, orderly, and safe manner.
- May perform higher‑classified work on an occasional basis for training purposes.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Support other departments as assigned.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and move pallets of material with a pallet jack.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and push loaded carts of 650 lbs.
- Must be able to push and load 1,200 lb. or heavier roll forms.
- Work may require extreme caution in certain situations.
- Environment may produce higher than normal noise levels and airborne dust particles; conditions are maintained for safety.
- Work may require off‑shift or irregular hours to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
