Job TitleQuality Technician – East Providence, RI
Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Technician will inspect Quantic Evans‑manufactured capacitors and capacitor banks to ensure products meet order specifications, quality, and control requirements. The role requires routine electrical testing, inspection of manufacturing processes, and corrective action implementation under general supervision.
Expected
Hours:
Full‑time, Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM.
- Interfacing with Engineering / Production (30%)
- Identify and prioritize tasks based on production needs.
- Communicate priorities to junior inspectors.
- Share issues and trends with Engineering.
- Quality Inspector (30%)
- Inspect products and components to ensure compliance with internal standards and regulations.
- Use measuring tools (digital calipers, gages, micrometers) to assess product features.
- Record results and report non‑conformities.
- Train junior inspectors.
- In‑process Inspector (20%)
- Monitor production processes and conduct regular quality checks.
- Identify and address potential quality issues during manufacturing.
- Collaborate with production teams to implement improvements.
- Electronic Tester (10%)
- Perform electrical and functional tests on capacitor assemblies for capacitance, ESR, and DCL.
- Identify and resolve issues to maintain product functionality.
- Document test procedures and results.
- Metrology and Calibration (10%)
- Maintain and calibrate precision measuring instruments.
- Perform routine accuracy checks.
- Document calibration activities.
- Additional duties as required.
- Eligible U.S. Person.
- High school diploma or related technical degree.
- 3 to 5 years of inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
- General knowledge of inspection processes and procedures.
- Familiarity with microscopes, micrometers, and calipers.
- Strong time‑management, communication, and decision‑making skills.
- Proficiency with PC, Windows, and Office suite (Excel, Word).
- Collaborative, team‑oriented, hands‑on attitude.
- Clean workspace and adherence to safety rules and company policies.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment to meet deadlines and quotas.
- Reliable attendance.
- General office and manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to manufacturing equipment and tools.
- Work near electrical and mechanical equipment that could affect pacemaker function.
- Ability to read and write in English.
- Lift, push, pull up to 30 pounds.
- Prolonged sitting during shift; frequent bending, stooping, pushing, pulling.
- Use of small tools and precision machinery.
- Good visual acuity for measurements and monitoring equipment.
- Required to wear appropriate PPE per company safety protocols.
