Environmental Technician II will be responsible for the separation and packaging of hazardous material for transport and treatment and complete the required paperwork in accordance with our practices and procedures.
- Separate, sort, and pack hazardous material for transport
- Complete required paperwork in accordance with our practices and procedures
- Keep the work area clean and organized during the course of the shift
- Follow safety protocols for assigned tasks
- Perform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to operate equipment, including a forklift and pallet jack
- Have the ability to read, write, and speak in English
- Ability to wear company‑provided personal protection equipment including eye protection, steel‑toed shoes, hard hat, gloves, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator
- Ability to move or lift 50 lbs with the use of equipment if needed
Ability to follow written or verbal procedures consistently - Ability to work overtime as needed
- Ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions
- Has the ability to operate a powered industrial truck, e.g., forklift, and possesses a safe driving record
- Demonstrates knowledge of Hazardous Materials and OSHA Regulations
- Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and RCRA Regulations
- Basic chemistry knowledge
