Swenson Spreader is passionate about providing on-site,
paid training for people interested in a Welding career! If you have never welded before, but have always had an interest, we can train you in MIG welding. We employ full-time, certified Welding Instructors to teach our processes which ensure quality product for our customers.
Candidates who excel at this training possess mechanical aptitude, have great hand/eye coordination, bring a desire to learn, appreciate hands-on instruction, and enjoy teamwork. Again, no prior welding experience is required.

The gas metal arc welding (GMAW) course is designed to equip trainees with the skills and knowledge to:

• Understand the GMAW process
• Use the proper safety precautions for arc welding
• Learn the impact that key variables have on weld integrity and identify weld defects
• Interpret blueprints utilized in the welding environment
• Create an understanding of Swenson Spreaders workmanship standards

As a member of our weld team, you will be responsible for preparing metal for weld operations per our customer specifications, drawings, and instructions from engineering.

Education: High school or equivalent (Required)

The role involves exposure to fumes, heat, mechanical parts, and other industrial conditions. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided.
