The Family Practitioner provides general medical care and treatment to patients in accordance with RI State and federal rules and regulations and the center's standards of care; performs physical examinations and preventative health measures within prescribed guidelines.
Evaluate the health of participants using advanced physical, developmental, and psychosocial assessment skills. Distinguish normal and abnormal findings to recognize health problems.
Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess residents' clinical problems. Provide medications for chronic illnesses and adjust meds as needed.
Requirements:
Master's Degree (family nurse practitioner); current RI licensure as a nurse practitioner; preferred minimum of 1 year experience as a nurse practitioner, Prescriptive privileges, Spanish Speaking a plus.
