WCS Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract at a prestigious hospital in North Providence, Rhode Island.
Job Function:
- Night Shift.
- 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM.
- Manage the care of adult and pediatric patients with life-threatening conditions, requiring complex assessments and high-intensity therapies.
- Provide emotional support, education, and comfort to patients and their families throughout their emergency room experience.
- Maintain close communication with the healthcare team and independently recognize the need for early intervention.
- Prepare patients for surgery or diagnostic testing, ensuring all necessary pre-operative procedures are completed.
- Perform medical procedures including IV insertion, intubation, medication administration, blood draws, and other critical interventions.
Job Requirements:
- 2 years of acute care experience in the relevant specialty.
Hold an active State RN license (or willingness to obtain).
2 years of acute care experience in the relevant specialty.
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association.
