Position OverviewJoin our team as a Veterinary Assistant who supports the veterinarians and technicians in their daily tasks by cleaning and maintaining equipment, feeding, exercising and grooming patients, preparing and sanitizing surgery suites, restraining and handling patients, and clerical and administrative work. They deliver quality care for all patients and provide exceptional service.

- Restrain animals during examinations or vaccinations
- Handle administrative duties such as answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, or calling patients in the examination room by priority
- Keep accurate records and logs
- Advise pet owners on nutrition and healthcare per doctor's instructions
- Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this position
- High school diploma
- Proven experience as a Veterinary Assistant or similar position working with animals
- Current or former pet ownership is an advantage
- Excellent communication skills
- Patient and caring personality
- Ability to follow instructions properly
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (e.g. lift upto 50 lbs)
- Availability to occasionally work in emergencies
- Certificate from a Veterinary Assistant program
- Full-Time, rotating shifts
- Will need to commit to every other Saturday but can work with candidate on which day, they are available for an evening shift
- Hours based on hospital needs but will include at least one evening shift (10AM-7PM) and every other Saturday (8AM-2PM)
