The responsibilities fulfilled by the Project Coordinator ensure that a critical research project has optimal coordination. The Coordinator will facilitate communication, information exchange, and workflow among internal and external team members and collaborators. They will participate in calendar management and scheduling and lead the creation and dissemination of detailed meeting minutes to efficiently track progress on team member action items. They will prioritize tasks effectively and manage time thoughtfully for the project or subprojects, identify, track, and promptly communicate upcoming engagements with the internal Brown research team and external project counterparts, and document, disseminate, and archive work products and project findings for team members and other researchers to reference.

Nurturing and sustaining relationships and communication with colleagues across various departments and units within Brown University, with external academic institutions, and with external non‑academic organizations is imperative to this role. The Project Coordinator will prepare and revise progress reports, scientific manuscript submissions, scientific conference presentations, research grant or contact proposals, and institutional review board (IRB) and data use agreement (DUA) applications and/or amendments.

This role entails working closely with the entire research team to help coordinate workflow and accomplish key tasks.

The ideal candidate will possess the necessary skills and genuine enthusiasm for being a part of a dynamic team conducting high‑impact public health research. Beyond the required qualifications, candidates with experience in team‑oriented settings, database organization, compiling progress reports, formatting manuscripts, and liaising with diverse institutions/corporations will be highly valued. This position often requires independent judgment and action.
