Assistant Coach, Squash – Brown University

Join Assistant Coach, Squash role at Brown University located in Providence, Rhode Island. Brown is an Ivy League member with 34 varsity teams and over 1,000 NCAA‑division I student‑athletes.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as primary assistant to the Head Coach, leading practice planning, game strategy, and player mentorship.
  • Focus on individual player development and act as a direct line of communication between the head coach and athletes.
  • Assist in designing and executing practice plans.
  • Evaluate athlete performance, provide constructive feedback, and support recruiting initiatives.
  • Maintain confidentiality, comply with NCAA and Ivy League rules, and adhere to all ethical conduct standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 2‑4 years of coaching experience, preferably at the collegiate level.
  • Strong knowledge of squash, player development, and position‑specific training.
  • Excellent organizational, time‑management, and communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of NCAA/league compliance requirements and athletes’ skill development.
  • Knowledge of recruiting processes and athlete evaluation methods.
  • Awareness of injury prevention, safe training, and video‑analysis tools.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, maintain compliance, and contribute to a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
  • Willingness to support and promote a diverse and inclusive campus community.
Background Check

Compliance

Employees in coaching positions must receive annual NCAA recruiting rules education, maintain current AED/CPR and First Aid certification, and report any violations to the compliance office.
