Assistant Coach, Club Golf

Brown University Athletics and Recreation is seeking candidates for the Assistant Coach, Club Golf position located in Providence, Rhode Island. As part of a member of the Ivy League with 34 varsity teams, Brown’s intercollegiate athletics program features approximately 1,000 athletes in the NCAA‑DI.

This seasonal position will work with the Head Coach, Club Golf, to lead Brown's highly competitive men's club golf program and expand recreational golf opportunities on campus. The role includes presence at practices, both on and off campus, and competition; assistance with oversight for safety and risk management of the team; exposure to rules and etiquette of the sport; instruction in skills and technique;

and assistance in appropriate conditioning of athletes to participate in their sport.

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Some prior golf coaching experience, preferred.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be certified in CPR, AED and First Aid.

• Successful completion of a criminal and DMV background check satisfactory to Brown University prior to commencing employment.

All division employees are required to demonstrate exemplary ethical conduct and conformance to NCAA rules and regulations. Employees in coaching positions must receive annual rules education on NCAA legislation related to recruiting by the compliance office and maintain current AED/CPR and First Aid certification (certification is available at no cost through the Division).
