Utility Worker/Service Employee
Part Time weekend and potential for Full Time late evening shifts.
Transdev in Providence, Rhode Island is hiring a Utility Worker/Service Employee. The Utility Worker/Service Employee is required to perform basic vehicle servicing duties. We are looking for customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.
Position Subject to Collective Bargaining Agreement- $19.50 - $21.50 (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Payscale)
- Starting pay $19.50 with progression to $21.50 over 2 years.

- Maintain the interior cleanliness of fleet vehicles
- Fueling buses, replenishing fluids, and logging and recording all fluids
- Driving, maneuvering, and parking vehicles
- Perform light maintenance to vehicles, shop areas, and related facilities.
- Report maintenance issues to supervisor
- Other duties as required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license for a minimum of 3 years
- Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
- Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
- Be eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future (if based in the U.S.).
- Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions – The majority of work is performed outdoors in an open parking lot, work alone and in remote locations.
- Frequently walking for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
- Ability to safely enter and exit vehicles, and provide cleaning in all areas of the vehicle
- Push and pull objects up to 15 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
- Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
