Senior Receiving Specialist

Sciton is seeking a detail‑oriented and experienced Senior Receiving Specialist to support our manufacturing operations in Palo Alto, CA. This role ensures the accurate and efficient flow of incoming materials through coordination with cross‑functional teams and use of our ERP system. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, a commitment to quality, and experience in regulated environments.

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders, packing slips, and quality standards
• Accurately enter receiving data into the ERP system (e.g., item numbers, lot codes, serial numbers, quantities)
• Coordinate with Quality Assurance and Purchasing to resolve discrepancies or nonconforming materials
• Maintain proper identification, labeling, and traceability of received materials
• Ensure materials are properly staged, stored, or delivered to the correct departments
• Distribute material to stock locations and work centers
• Fulfill internal customer service orders and stock replenishment requests
• Perform periodic material counting, posting, and reconciliation
• Maintain inventory accuracy in the warehouse locations
• Participate in full physical material audits
• Work closely with the Purchasing team and Accounts Payable to reconcile receipts and packing slips for payment to the supplier
• Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency
• Follow and enforce all safety, environmental, and company policies
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal documentation standards (ISO, FDA, etc. if applicable)
• Report safety hazards and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
• High school diploma or equivalent required;
  Associate degree or technical certification preferred
• 3–5 years of warehouse or receiving experience, preferably in a manufacturing or regulated environment
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Net Suite, or equivalent)
• Strong understanding of receiving, inspection, and inventory control processes
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation discipline
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Basic computer proficiency (Excel, Word, ERP systems, barcode scanners)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.)
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices a plus

The salary range for this position is $60k – $70k. The final offer will be based on relevant experience and qualifications.
